Retail designStudio Tait has been featured in A1 Retail Magazine for an inspirational design they completed to create a compelling shopping experience. Tait’s design wove a clear expression of Intu’s brand personality into real world illustration of how good design can transform the retailers’ perception without breaking the bank.
Following a major re-brand in 2013, Intu commissioned Tait to be the first in translating the new identity into the built environment, with the refurbishment of the Intu Bromley Shopping Centre.
Key to this project was targeting spend on areas that would deliver the most tangible uplift to customer experience. Linda Tait, Director of Tait explains “The starting point was creating a vision for a contemporary, attractive and welcoming environment that matched the bold, creative, and genuine brand values of Intu”.
Atriums and malls were refurbished and new WC’s and baby changing facilities installed in contemporary finishes. Overall the design delivered a fresh, light and understated expression of the Intu brand. As well as becoming a finalist in the prestigious BCSC Gold Award 2015, the design can be said to be a real retail success.
