Making a difference through corporate social responsibility

Established in 1984, CADS has spent more than 40 years supporting clients across the retail, property and public sectors.

As part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), we encourage colleagues to take part in charity volunteering, corporate fundraising and community support initiatives. These make a positive impact beyond the workplace.

As a Norfolk-based company, we’re proud to support charities and community organisations across East Anglia, from Great Yarmouth to Lowestoft and beyond.

Community partnerships: supporting local causes

We support local and national charities through employee volunteering days, community partnerships and charitable giving. This also helps our colleagues contribute to causes they care about.

In March 2026, we purchased event tickets so St Elizabeth Hospice’s nursing staff could attend the charity’s fundraising race night for its new site in Gorleston, Great Yarmouth. We were also proud to sponsor a race on the night. It was a pleasure to support such a worthwhile cause.

These CSR initiatives are an important part of our workplace culture and what it’s like to build a career with CADS.

CADS Corproate Volunteering at Pathways Care Farm

Pathways Care Farm charity volunteering

On 15 May 2026, 16 CADS employees took part in a corporate charity volunteering day at Pathways Care Farm in Lowestoft. The team helped create a new raised bed herb garden by installing a water supply and preparing raised beds in very dry, clay soil.

As a lasting legacy, CADS donated a panini maker to support the farm’s café. The café helps generate income for the organisation’s ongoing work supporting people with mental ill-health, learning difficulties and dementia.

Africa Alive corporate charity volunteering

In July 2025, 14 CADS employees took part in a corporate charity volunteering day at Africa Alive Zoological Reserve in Kessingland. Working alongside the reserve team, volunteers refurbished a porcupine enclosure. This involved removing old bark, relocating habitat features and distributing fresh bark throughout the enclosure.

As part of our commitment to corporate volunteering and charitable support, CADS also donated wildlife cameras and a parrot feeder to the reserve. These support its conservation, education and community engagement activities.

It was a great day, and you all did so much work. We are very grateful to your amazing team and, of course, for the panini maker, which is already being used to good effect in the café.

2023 CADS Xmas Charity Donations

Christmas charity donations

Each year, CADS chooses to reduce paper waste by not sending traditional Christmas cards. Instead, we make charitable donations to causes nominated by our colleagues.

In recent years, we have supported a range of charities that are close to the hearts of our team. These include Mind, Brain Tumour Research, Teenage Cancer Trust, Alzheimer’s Society, Guide Dogs for the Blind, and East Coast Pet Rescue.

It is a small way for us to give back while supporting organisations that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives and local communities.

Employee charity fundraising success at CADS

CADS also supports colleagues who take part in sponsored activities to raise funds for charitable causes.

In 2025, CADS Surveyor Jamie Mitchell took on the challenge of the TCS London Marathon in aid of Sense. After months of training and a gruelling 26.2-mile run, Jamie raised an impressive £3,033, including Gift Aid. This total was boosted by a £250 contribution from CADS, matching staff donations to help maximise the impact of his fundraising efforts.

Reflecting on the experience, Jamie said: “One of the toughest journeys I have gone through, but so worth it.”

We have also supported colleagues taking on fundraising challenges, including a 500-mile sponsored cycle for East Anglian Air Ambulance and a 4,000-mile cycle ride around the coast of the UK for Cancer Research UK.

Supporting CADS Clients' Charity Fundraising

Supporting our clients' charity fundraising

Our support extends beyond our own charity initiatives. As a trusted partner to our clients, CADS is proud to support their fundraising and CSR activities. Working together on initiatives like these builds stronger partnerships and closer working relationships between our teams.

Most recently, two of our retail team working on a key client account, attended a charity dinner in Manchester, held following a client’s fundraising golf day.

CADS donated a Black Shuck hamper to the charity raffle, helping raise funds for the charities our client partners with.

Company charity awareness days

As business we also support various charity awareness days throughout the year such as Wear It Green Day, promoted by our Mental Health First Aiders.

We support people, charities and communities that need it most. This is achieved through fundraising, volunteering and charitable donations.

For those considering a career at CADS, these are examples of how we support our people beyond their day-to-day roles. We help colleagues pursue personal goals, support causes they care about and make a positive impact in their communities.

Together, these activities help make CADS a rewarding place to build a career.
